CANALPY has also undertaken campaigns involving school students, to sensitise them towards the concepts of canal pollution, total sanitation as well as the overall CANALPY protocol is part of a larger vision which envisages school students as being a key element of the citizen governance of the canal commons. Water quality monitoring is an integrated part of the program. It envisages to equip selected schools in Alappuzha municipality to perform weekly & monthly water quality testing and publishing.
