Project Outcomes
In the megacity of Mumbai, a significant number of slum dwellers are being discriminated by the State in denying formal access to water. This denial leads to resorting to multiple informal means in order to access water. It would be interesting to look at the status of water access with respect to each of the UN’s right to water parameters, namely sufficiency, safety acceptability, physically accessibility and affordability that define equitable access to safe and clean drinking water for personal and domestic use
