Project Outcomes

Across the world, health and disaster managers face the challenge of responding to natural hazards such as cyclones, floods, droughts, and heatwaves while fighting COVID-19. Natural hazards could affect vulnerable communities and result in deaths and damages, weaken the agricultural economy and local livelihoods. These impacts could be amplified by the COVID-19. In this background, it is of great importance to revisit local level emergency/disaster management plans and formulate operational procedures during disasters considering the COVID-19 social distancing and lockdown norms.
