Mr. Meghraj Garad is a Senior Project Engineer with Prof. Bakul Rao at CTARA, IIT Bombay. He has completed his Masters in ‘Technology & Development’ from CTARA, IIT Bombay, and Graduation in Civil Engineering from College of Engineering Pune (COEP). He was awarded with the prestigious Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) scholarship during his first year and Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) fellowship during second year of M.Tech for two years (2015-17). His main areas of work comprise of design and modelling of water and sanitation systems, technical verification of designs for wastewater treatment plants, third-party technical audit of infrastructure works, and evaluation of various developmental projects. Currently, he is working on the two major projects i.e. “Designing WATSAN model for small town” and “Secretariat of Societal Solutions (SoSS)”. He is familiar with softwares like EPANET, QGIS, SWMM, and SewerGEMs, and tools like Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA).
